Award Description


The Dr. Kellee Meyer Social Impact Award is available to a UC Merced alumus/na who is obtaining or has obtained a professional degree in the field of optometry and has demonstrated a commitment to community service. It is the first alumni award program at UC Merced.

Disclosure


As a young institution, UC Merced depends on the generosity of donors who believe in the value of a UC education. Many donors appreciate hearing the direct impact their generosity has had on our Bobcats.

As a result we are asking all award recipients who have been awarded financial assistance to release potentially confidential personal and educational information so we may report back to the donors as well as other departments and/or Media. The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) requires consent to disclose personal and educational information to any individual. Alumni may grant their permission to release their educational information. This information may include name, directory information, hometown, academic information, UC Merced email and award requirement information.

Please be aware that the Office of Alumni Relations and Division of External Relations makes every effort to protect the privacy of your personal and educational records. As such we will not disclose any information if you do not provide consent to do so. We hope you consider sharing your story to further inspire our donors to support students and alumni alike.
